The Epping Ongar Railway is a preserved railway in Essex, running along the former Great Eastern Railway branch line. The branch all the way from Stratford was taken over by London Transport in 1949 but electrification didn't reach Ongar from Epping until 1957, and thus through services from Stratford were withdrawn, and a shuttle service operated the branch from Epping. The line was closed in 1994 after Green Belt policies preventing housing developments and flawed projections had led the line to become heavily underused and too costly to maintain. The disused branch was purchased by Epping Ongar Railway Ltd. and reopened as a preserved railway using a repainted class 117 DMU running a limited service from Ongar to Coopersale. The line closed again in 2006 to facilitate heavy track maintenance and station renovation, during which the line changed ownership and a steam-orientated line was developed, still running to this day. This route for DTG Train Simulator covers the whole branch from Ongar to the London Underground Central Line station at Epping as it appears from mid-2016 onwards. Intermediate stations are North Weald, Blake Hall (officially still closed but included for more flexible running) and the unofficial Coopersale Halt, denoted by a stop sign before the route rejoins it's former London Underground territory. A Free Roam scenario and QuickDrive scenarios are included in the route. Requirements: - DTG North Somerset Line Add-on (Steam) - DTG London—Brighton Add-on (Steam) - DTG Isle Of Wight Add-on (Steam) - DTG AP Station Pack (Steam—included in Doncaster Works, Falmouth Branch, Portsmouth Direct Line, Northeast Corridor, Horseshoe Curve, Woodhead, Trains Vs Zombies 2, Western Lines of Scotland, WCML Over Shap, and Pietmaritzburg to Ladysmith.) YOU ONLY NEED AT LEAST ONE OF THESE! All other required assets are included. The package also comes with a complimentary reskin of the Class 117 DMU from the North Somerset addon into the original 1998 Epping Ongar Railway Livery.
